Hello,
I just got some new kitchen tiles fitted and i accidently got pomegranite juice into the grout. I tried rubbing it but it has just gone black. Any ideas? I did try bleach but that hasn't worked either. I am panicking becuase they are newly done and my boyfriend is off shore and will go mad if i don't fix it.

Do you have a tile counter top,or backsplash, or are you talking about the floor? Usually, grout is sealed after it is installed. I would contact the person who installed the tile and ask if a sealer was applied. It seems to me this should have been part of the job. If not, you may want to go to Home Depot or Lowe's and talk to someone about such a product. I don't know if it is something that just anyone could do, or if requires a professional.

I'm afraid that other juices or liquid foodstuffs may stain the grout as well. So if I were you, I'd want to find out what I could do to prevent it.

Good luck.

To be honest its a tough one! It is possible to buy an acidic grout cleaner from trade tile outlets. If that doesnt work then the stained area will need raking out & replaced with fresh grout. Its always best to seal the grout when its new to prevent these things from happening, especially if its a light coloured grout!

beanco is correct. Use a grout tool to remove that grout- its not difficult, then regrout using the same colour. You may find a tiler who wouldn't charge too much!!!

I would try using bleach again, but get an old toothbrush cuz it gets the fine lines. Oyclean has good tile cleanser and Clorox has a spray thats fabulous. Try that.
