What exactly is this book about?

Frankenstein unbound, I know it's not Mary Shelley's book and was wondering what exactly it was about.

It's about a scientist from the future(about 25 years,or so)who gets sent back to 1817 Switzerland where he meets Victor Frankenstein and becomes involved with Mary Shelley.
