"
Just be really careful that the controller doesn't go flying out of your hand and smashing into the TV.
My friend's husband did this! He had a big fancy TV that he paid a small fortune for and was really excited to get his new Wii. The first day he was playing it, the strap on the controller thingy broke and went flying out of his hand, hit the TV and broke the screen!!"
This has been fixed by Nintendo, they have offered free Replacement wrist straps. And it wasnt the strap, it was peoople throwing the wiimote and breaking it.
And to to answer your question, No the wii wont damage your TV or cause any burn in. It has a screen burn in reduction setting. Hope you enjoy your wii! =]

Just don't hit the pause button and leave it on pause for a long time or else you'll get screen burn-ins. But the newer TVs should be able to prevent it, but it never hurts to take extra precaution.
Also hold the Wii-mote really tight in your hand and make sure you have the write strap properly secured.

I don't understand how oyu would damage the TV... as long as you wear your wrist strap and connect the Wii properly to the TV, there shoudln't be any problems. Just don't let go of the remote and don't get too excited.

it is obtainable to wreck your television in case you depart an identical photograph on the reveal screen for an prolonged quantity of time. Even different structures and staring at television can do this. Is your television a plasma? they have greater problems with burn-in pictures than lcd.
