for a person who has already indulged himself/herself enough it will be for procreation and for a person who already has off springs it will be sexual pleasure and for others who have neither had enough of sex and who do not have issues it will be just a silly hypothetical question. they will surely cross the bridge when they come to it as Perry Mason says.personally i would dismiss the question as irrelevant as i have had enough of both and for me it will not prove to be the proverbial hobson's choice.

Neither.
If one person have sex for purely for sexual pleasure then his/her children would possibly be the same. So the entire community would be become addict to sexual pleasure. Thus creating all kinds of social problems in society.
If the same person did the same sex act for procreation, then he/she may change their own sides from procreation to sexual pleasure because naturally people are not selfish but bit of addict to own sense of pleasure.
So by choosing NEITHER, people can become and behaviour like a monk. By acting like a monk, we free ourselves from pleasures of this world and try to attain the permanent peace by getting our souls to heaven.
Off course every person has a choice and whatever the choice may be the same person has to face the consequences for the choices he/she made. People would influence others. But at the end of the day people alone make individual choices and suffer the consequences.
