Hi there, Can anybody help me. I had a website built for me but the person who did it for me is not about anymore and I have not got a clue what to do. Is there anywhere that I can get free advise from. Like Question and answers. Is there a website where I can go to.

if you need it finished then i have a company who can get that done cheap and fast. if you need help running it or installing stuff etc then google is your best answer

Go to a standard web site provider. and make a new free web site on you own.Microsoft (free domain and hosting for life) , Google (Googlepages, Blogger) , Yahoo (Geocities), Freewebs are some of the companies offering free websites with design tools . Without the web building programme and the templates the person used for your site then I'm afraid it's lost to you for the purpose of upgrading it.
If you have a web builder you can copy and paste the existing site into your templates and modify that but then it would mean finding a host to upload it too.

I'm a freelance web designer - and I'm sure I can help you out.

It depends what needs changing. First you need to make sure you have the access codes to your domain. i.e, www.helpme.com.

It really depends on quite a few things but where there's a will there's a way.
