No, actually it is incredibly soothing. Breastfeeding is a wonderful experience that helps mom and baby to bond and provides great health benefits for the new baby. It can be painful in the beginning, but once you get past that it is really rewarding.

It is a bonding time for you and your baby and it will help your body get back into shape from the inside. It will feel strange at first and may be a little tender but it is natural for ALL mothers to feed the babys this way. Some moms don't want to and those who do it with a positive desire to provide the baby with the antibodies that are in the milk from mom and are willing to do what it takes, it is great for both. Good luck and Congrats.

I wouldn't say weird but it can be a bit uncomfortable and even painful at first. The first few days your uterus contracts when the baby suckles and you can have some cramps at the start of a nursing sessions. As long as the baby has a good latch you shouldn't have too many problems with painful nipples. I loved breastfeeding my child. I found it a very soothing and loving feeling. I nursed for over 2 years!

The only time I've felt weird is when people get too nosy and feel they need to watch or make comments about it. As for the physical feeling, it's very relaxing and not at all a sexual feeling.

YES! id does. but it is worth it! What i used that really helped me was a nipple shield. you can get it at he hospital when you give birth. i used it because i was engorged (too much milk my son could not latch on) it made it easier to feed and my nipple did not get all tore up. it also really help with transitioning to a bottle.

at first it was kind of awkward, it comes naturally to some but i had alot of complications in the beginning. now, when it's not hurting from damaged nipples, it's incredibly soothing. and not weird at all.

No. Most mothers know how to distinguish feeding a baby from sexual pleasure.

No, it's relaxing thanks to the wonderful hormones associated with nursing. And it's very different than when a man plays with your breasts. The sensation is very different and not at all sexual.
