Natural beauty is not a hard job b/c it comes naturally. Though making yourself beautiful (in a shallow sense of the word, as in a person's looks) can be hard for some b/c of all the make-up and etc they have to maintain.
But anyway, i think your quote is meant in a slightly humorous tone. You pretty much want to get across that your sis is beautiful.
the original quote is simply "it's a tough job, but somebody has got to do it"
in this case the Tough job = Beauty or being beautiful
i think its kinda clever and will work for your purposes.

No it doesn't - Beauty is not a hard job, and you don't maintain a job, right? Read it! You could try with "Maintaining beauty is a hard job, but..." or "Staying pretty is a hard job..." No wonder you sister can't speak properly, being obsessed with the superficial. Or is it YOU who can't put a sentence together right?
