You need an Adult Learners Teaching Certificate, something like City and Guilds 7307, which you study for whilst working.

If you want to teach high school, then check out your state's educational website. They will tell you the requirements for getting certified.
Once you're certified, head for public magnet or vocational schools. They are most likely to have positions in your field of study.
Good luck...I need my own personal hairdresser like the stars do!

Talk to the school that taught you what you learned to become a full qualified hairdresser. Sometimes they train you to teach.
Sometimes all you need is your experience and your state certificate.
But definately talk to a beauty school.
Check out the website to find a school near you.

Great idea! Contact a local technical school to see what your particular state requirements would be (each state is different). They would also be able to tell you how long your vocational teacher training would take and if you could get financial assistance to complete the program. Good luck.

In canada, with 5 years of experience, you can apply to teacher's college (at universities). It is 1 year long.
