Hey is it true that women love a guy with new shoes...?

Ok, now that I've learned most women like the scruffy look, what about a nice new pair of shoes (whatever type) to go with the scruffy look...I'm scruffy but most times I hate wearing old torn up shoes....i always like a nice pair of boots or gym shoes under some baggy jeans or something....just curious.

It is true that there's an old saying women can judge a man by the condition of his shoes. This is because you are on your feet alll day and you use them so much, and your shoes get dirty; that if you ignore that part, you must not care about anything else either. Just like men love pretty feet on women. Who wants to see dirty disgusting shoes or ugly feet? Ewwww.

In a way it is, because a woman looks at man's shoes to determine what the man's personality is like. For example, most women admire a man who is suave, smart and looks nice. If a man has a new pair of well-fitted, clean and modern shoes on, the women already starts to like and admire them. Unless they prefer the scruffy look, of course.

I responded to your other question on the scruffy vs. clean cut as well. I would say that you should be encouraged to know that whatever you look like or wear, there is always someone out there that likes that look. If your looking to change your style or get some feedback...I'll cast my vote here. I depends on the type of girl your after. A fashion forward gal or professional as a group, might prefer a cleaner cut guy. The girl next door who is the salt of the earth type might prefer your look. A guy says alot about himself by the way he dresses. girls notice.

I like new shoes, but not the flashy, too bright, "look ma, new shoes" look, just hte kind that look like you actually put in a bit of effort. I don't think anyone really just wants a slob, shoes can tell alot about a person's character. They don't have to be fancy, dark colors are better, sometimes unusual colors, you won't look stuck up or boring, but not dirty either. I can't believe I just wrote that much about someone's shoes! shoes are coll, but if you have a great personality nobody will care about what's on your feet.

Dress code differs from time to time and occasion to occasion. The so-called scruffy look has a certain charm to it, but neat footwear is always a good idea.

I don't think girls are attracted to a guy because of the shoes he wears.

However, when you wear a new or just very clean pair of shoes it does, for some odd reason, make you look better.

It's like making your bed without cleaning your room.

A guy doesn't have to have 'new' shoes - BUT, they can't look scuffed up and crappy. Meaning: no dirt and no dust. Boots are fine, as well as tennis shoes (you can machine wash tennis shoes) but the heels have to be cleaned. It just looks better and says a lot about your hygiene.
