I love to read but I honestly have never heard of the plot summary before in my life. I am answering because I hope you find it as you've piqued my interest and I don't want to lose the question! The only book I can recall wherein a student wrote a paper on Hitler was "Apt Pupil", whch was in a foursome of stories by Stephen King entitled "Different Seasons" (Movie adaptations were made of three of the stories, "The Shawshank Redemption" - from the story "Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption", "Apt Pupil", and "Stand By Me" from the story "The Body"). There was, however, no monkey that I can recall well in "Apt Pupil". King did write a short story called "Monkey's Paw", a horror tale, but it was in a different book entirely and had nothing to do with "Apt Pupil".
