My nephew was born premature and he only lived for 8 days. We buried him the week before Christmas. We had all the confidence in the world he would survive because my niece survived. I have been the glue that holds the family together, and finally I broke down. I cry every day I have no desire to do anything, and I am suffering from depression. Is there anyway to make it easier?

I'm sorry for your loss. I'm dealing with a death right now also. My aunt passed away 3 days after Christmas and its been really hard. Just remember that everything happens for a reason, and God did it for a good reason. Your nephew was probably suffering because he was premature, and if you think about it, its selfish to have them suffering and alive on earth. I know what your feeling, you want them here, but then again you dont want them to suffer. You just cant win. If you need to vent or anything, email me, I'm here for you because it's hard. God Bless your nephew. I hope I helped! =]

I am very sorry for your loss. It is important you stay strong because as you say you are the "glue" that holds the family. If you fall everyone falls. Just pray and look towards the positive in life. Everything will be ok. Time heals everything.

He was God's gift to your family for 8 days.
His body was not able to stay longer, so God called him home.
Your nephew is now with God and will never suffer any more pain or sorrow forever.

If you know Jesus as your Saviour and Lord, one day you will see this fine young man in Heaven.

If you do not - here is a grest resource.

Look forward to that day!

Just think, you made his eight days good, right? If you did, he's up there watching you right now. He's probably just waiting for you. When my pet died ( I know not as big at all) my mom got me a prayer bracelet. Now, every day, I put a new prayer for Julie, my hamster. Try that. I bet it will make you feel better a LITTLE bit.

its very hard when somebody very close to pass away . and there is nothing anybody can say or do to make that pain go away. the only person who can help you through this hard time is god i dont know what you believe in but look to whom ever you pray to for help. and just remeber that he was taken for a reason.

It is not easy to deal with a situation like this. Just think you did your best to the baby.

I am so sorry
