Hi, I have a ficus tree about 5 feet tall in a 10 gallon pot on my patio
I live in Phoenix, AZ, we will be having a freeze overnight the next couple of days. Is it OK to water it today?

Is there anyway you could bring it in during the freeze? They can be somewhat touchy with cold depending on the species. If you can't do that, then maybe place a thin sheet over it.
If you can give it a little water first thing in the morning, it should have time to get what it needs before nightfall.
Kind of hard to answer definitively not knowing the species type. There are Evergreen, deciduous, vine, and shrub types of Ficus.
Good luck with it, I hope I've helped a little.

Do not water. It seems like a large plant, did it survive winters in your area before? If you are concerned about the temperature, then carefully wrap the ficus in large (garbage type) plastic to keep the frost off the leaves and branches. Loosely secure the bag with string or tape, open during the day so the plant doesn't over heat. They don't like to be bothered, but if you think it won't survive the frost, then bring it in. Don't worry if it drops a few leaves, they will grow back, it's better then loosing the ficus. See the link below if you really want to pamper your ficus. (I water mine from the bottom, have a humidity tray and mist every other day or so- it's still alive and I've had it 15 years)
