Why does the Congress refuse to acknowledge H.R. 25 Fair Tax Act?

To let the people know this act if law would eliminate the I.R.S and the 16th amendment of the U.S. Constitution. All income by a citizen would go into the citizen's pocket and only will pay a tax if he or she buys something brand new. Learn this Act and demand its passing into law. Act on table since 1999

I agree. Taxes are illegal and so is the IRS. They jail people when it is completely illegal to do so. We should be able to pool taxes together for the reason the majority vote for in 3 separate voting processes that allows people time to think before it is acted upon, etc..like useless wars, vehicle insurance for the poor, and veto laws that harm the poor, etc. We are not known to be a fair country for our own poor, but we are for the poor in other countries !!
makes no sense to me. We have struggling suffering people in the USA, yet majority doesnt care, unless things like Katrina happen to them. Very few people in the USA realized how poor they were down there, til Katrina hit. and did everyone know that when the Levy broke, it washed every monument that existed there away EXCEPT for two, and I have eyewitness account as she watched from the french quarter.....

There is nothing fair about it! and your simplistic explanation doesn't include things like a National Sales Tax, where the poor get burned more than the rich as a percentage of income, and one calls for a flat tax which is a bogus system of giving the wealthy even more money!
