2.54 x 10^24 molecules x (6.022 x 10^23 mol)/(1 molecule)

= 1.529 x 10^48

6.022 x 10^23 is Avogradro's number.

Since old Avagadro's number is 6.022 X 10^23, then there must be

(2.54/6.022)/10 moles of the substance

or 0.0422 moles of it, very approximately.
