....from the woman he loves?
I've studied and researched this subject to a fault, and still don't understand 2 things. One, why should I put up with communication methods from my woman that are unfair to me? Two, if I decide to put up with some of it, how do I minimize/manage it best?
There are numerous problems in communication between the genders when they live together. This is the one that tends to be female-specific, extremely common, and very difficult for me to blow off and/or manage. I already know how to screen for women who are going to do this more than others, what's left is trying to gain a different perspective on this tendency and knowing how to minimize and manage it best.

Not all people speak in code, and your research cannot include every person in the world and every variable. All research is theory that might or might not actualize itself in reality.
Screen all you want, but love is love, and if you find the right person for you it should not be a big problem to communicate. All relationships take work, compromise, trust and a lot of patience. No one has it easy all the time, such is life. If you cannot properly communicate with your partner and have tried all you can, without success, it's time to move on.

Don't respond to anything but straight-forward communication. Eventually, she will learn what works and what doesn't. And if she tries to nail you on something you should have done from her 'hints', respond consistantly with "I don't take hints well".
something like that. And clearly, you don't. Neither do I or most guys.

hmmm....you are a bit clinical, and you can screen all you want, but when you fall in love, chances are, the whole screening bit will be blown out the window. In fact, while you are busy researching and screening, I bet you won't find a good candidate.
