In Ohio I think we have a "state" everything. Our state bird is the cardinal; flower is red carnation; tree is the buckeye tree; insect is the ladybug; mammal is the white-tailed deer; gemstone is flint; we even have a state fossil -- isotelus
I guess when I think of Ohio symbols, it's the cardinal, buckeye, & red carnation
