Honestly, coverage wise there are alot of factors that determine dropped calls etc. If you have a blue or black and silver motorola then your coverage won't be as good. If you have ANY LG or Kyocera then they don't have nearly as strong of a signal as a razr, e815, v710 or nokia brand phones. Your phone is probably still under warranty if you have that much in your contract left. You need to go into the retail store and get them to swap your phone out under warranty (warranty is 12 mths from purchase date). If they are saying you are out of warranty then they need to make sure their contract information is correct. When you upgrade most of the time you are within 3 months of the end of your contract. I've seen alot of reps that forget to reduce the extra 3 months off the contract before adding 24 more months(2 yr agreement). Keep in mind that it's not always your coverage it is often just the phone you have. Feel free to email me about what model you have and I will be able to tell you if you have "one of those phones".

Your best bet is to call the company and explain your concern. They'll probably make you pay a fee, but Alltel would be the best place to find out how to quit your service.

first, you are never 'promised' service with any company. So calling the AG will not work.

second, Alltel offers a 15day return period. Normally, you know what your coverage is like in that first two weeks - so coming to them now will not get the early disconnect penalty waived. You might want to take your phone in to a store so they can troubleshoot it too.

I had alltel as well, they are the worse company in the world. You have to pay the termination fee or stop paying but that will go on your credit.

Yes there is........ contact the attorney general in your area and tell them that the service that you were promised when you got the phone is not the service that you are being provided w/.
