In my state we have a web site called nhdeeds.com and I can search by owners name or deed book and page. Also, some towns have tax cards online. Go to the towns website and check the assessors page. Why would they not be listed in the county records?

If it's not on the county website, it's public information, so go to the courthouse and ask for one :) Most counties at least offer property tax information, based on that you can figure what the value of the property was just by researching past real estate tax.

What city? Most major cities in Canada you can search tax accounts by address and the tax roll acount will give you the owners name.

There's also "find neighbours" options on most online phone number lookups. Try that.
