What are two types of surfaces the ancient Greeks painted?

Do you mean like frescoes (plasters) and ceramic vases? Or marble? Because they also painted the surfaces of ancient temples and statues sometimes.

Or do you mean the 2 different types of vase decoration, "erythromorpha" (red figures on black background) and "melanomorpha" (black gigures on red background)?

Mainly on stone walls (frescos) of tombs and palaces , and lateron on the inner walls of churches and also on wooden panels (icons).
