Some.
I buy new sneakers, work casual, and slip-ons all the time. Now, comfort is a big reason why I purchase because I wear the insole out on shoes quickly (inserts have never really worked for me, so a new pair are better) and I like to rotate the shoes to make them last longer. Secondly, how shoe looks plays a role in my purchase.
Work: Lace up boots in gray, lace up loafers in black and in brown, slip ons in gray and in brown.
Dress: gloss black, dull black, brown
Sneakers: gray, blue, white
Boots: dark brown, tan
I have to hold back sometimes when I go shopping!!!

It depends mostly on the woman or man. For example, I'm not really shoe crazy, but my best guy friend is absolutely OBSESSED on Nike SB Dunks (it even made me get one). I know guys who are more into fashion will have more shoes. A lot of the time, people feel the shoe makes the person, and they're the ultimate accesory. I know a lot of people who are obsessed with just rings, or charm, bracelets, necklaces, shirts, famous jeans, nice sweaters..it all depends on the personality!
But when it comes down to it all, women are definately more shoe crazy then men.

you know some of them are, there are the guys that have like 4 pairs of shoes: work shoes, dress shoes, sneakers and flip flops, then there are the other ones that have a pair of shoes for each outfiit. My ex has air forces in every single color, and i know that he doesn't even wear most of them more that once, he is really shoe crazy. I guess it just depends on the type of guy

Women love shoes more than men. I am sure that there are some men that also love shoes. But they are very rare.

No. At last count I had 65 pairs of shoes/boots/sneakers......my husband had 8.

Men have 2 pairs of shoes:
One pair for job interviews, weddings, funerals.
One pair for everything else.
