i did a little treasure trooper and i submitted one of my old poems and now they're saying i got into semifinals or whatever; it seems like scam for me to buy their book but i'm not sure. i'm leaning more on the scam side because the poem kinda sucked but it seems kinda weird to send mail to every single submitted poem.

I get some stuff from poetry.com for just posting my poems on the site, not even entering them in anything. Whenever I get one of those emails, I reply to it and ask them why they don't give me the book for free if my poem's so good. They should pay me to have my poem, not the other way around. Sufficient to say, I only replied to that same email twice and now I don't get them anymore :o)

I got that same thing for two of my poems, which were not good at all! Also I didn't even enter anything! One was a poem I wrote in 4th grade about what witches eat for lunch, and they also sent me and editors choice award certificate, and invited me to Disneyworld to a confrence to receive this huge trophy I had apparently won. I would say it was scam.

Answer them and sooner or later they WILL be asking you for money for one thing or another. That should be the clue.
