Simple answer - greed.

Human beings are inherently selfish and greedy. Consider how often you think of what you want rather than think about what even those you love want.

People have always been willing to leave others with little or nothing so that they can personally have more. Even though social, political and market economy structures have been proposed to try and change that (i.e., communism, socialism, co-op communities like communes, etc.), what each of those things cannot change is the human heart - which naturally gravitates toward greed and self-aggrandizement and is willing to sacrifice others and their good to get for self.

Capitalism seeks to leverage human greed in the marketplace - greed is the fundamental motive that drives the free marketplace, no matter what nice theory your prof in college tried to foist on you to the contrary.

It's also what drives democracy - in theory, we vote for the candidate we think will deliver the safest, most prosperous, best future for whom? For ourselves!

Until human greed and selfishness is eradicated, and people habitually think more of others than their own well-being, we will always have inequities in people's social, economic and living status.

I like Rocky's answer that is what is necessary for everything to be equal. Do you think that someone who has worked 40 hrs/wk for 20 years should have the same status as someone who has worked worked 1 week. Or how about a man that works 20 hrs per week and one that works 60 should they have the same.

To overcome it each rich citizen should come to help the poor. A rich man in a city can help the poor people in his nearby slums. By having such thoughts in each& every rich mans minds it will improve that particular areas and we can imbalance the people living status

pure communism is one way. everybody gets a set of uniforms and lives in the dorms. everybody falls out to catch the bus taking them to work and then cathces the bus home home to the apartment in the dorms. vacations will be planned for large groups and meals will be served in large cafeteria. no eating in your room. everything would be equal. abolutely equal. anyone caught cheating is demoted to a harder job and must work their way back up. or the troublemakers will end up in the fields digging in the mud and harvesting the fruit, veggies and barn animals. schools will be far more demanding and require much higher stands than exist today. but everything will be equal. by setting up this system you can change it to be just like you seem to want it to be. everything equal, right?

because all have no one sense, there is a different type of attitude.
we live what we like to live, there is a individual choice. one people have a lot of money but wish to live in simple & other have a short money but live in a high status . so its depened, we can not do anything for that. we cant wash the people mind.

it is almost next to impossible.
it was never overcomed , it is not presently overcoming ,and , it won't be overcomed in the future also.
it is due human nature.
large fish eat smaller ones.
theory of survival of the fittest still continues.
policy of divide and rule also continues ; among many other factors ; but ; they all are meaningless.
