Ancient Greece was first united under the Macedonian banner of Philip II

Shih Huang Ti brought China together under the Ch'in Empire (where China's name originated)

The Mesopotamian people were usually conquered by different groups, but the first conqueror was Sargon I (Sargon the Great) of Akkadia, so he could be considered the first to unify Mesopotamia.

The Ancient Egyptians more than likely united the Upper and Lower Kingdoms under the rule of Khasekhemwy during the 2nd Dynasty of Egypt.

Liam, Try wikipedia for these answers. It's a mine of good information. Here's an example relative to your question about who united China:

History of China

"The Qin (Ch'in) Dynasty (Chinese: 秦朝; pinyin: Qín Cháo; Wade-Giles: Ch'in Ch'ao) (221 BC - 206 BC) was preceded by the Zhou Dynasty and followed by the Han Dynasty in China. The unification of China 221 BC under the First Emperor Qin Shi Huang marked the beginning of imperial China, a period that lasted until the fall of the Qing Dynasty in 1912."
