Alcohol causes potassium, zinc, magnesium, and thiamin deficiencies. These deficiencies cause a loss of perception of reality causing change of temperament, assuming the worst of others, proccupation with own pain and stress and reduced understanding of pain and stress of others - up until a few days after the deficiencies are corrected. Alcohol also lowers pH (as soda does). Low pH is a contributor to all diseases.
The best way to slow down or at least keep the nutritional stress caused by alcohol in check is to take a mineral supplement AND a form of thiamin called thiamin mononitrate (see a bread label). Solaray appears to be the only company that makes thiamin mononitrate. Drink water regularly, and avoid soda.

Alcohol affects every part of the human body in one form or another. There is a major artery that runs down the esophagus that changes when you drink excessively and can blow if it goes too far. It also affects you liver, as we all know, and increases your chances of developing alcoholism. It even affects the way a person's body absorbs vitamins and minerals, so low bone density could also occur. It is hard on your teeth and on the linings of your stomach and esophagus. It even will ooze from your pores after a while. Your skin tone and general appearance begins to look different. The way your brain thinks and processes chemicals and information will be depleted which could lead to mental problems that may start without you even being aware of. The list goes on and on. It doesn't matter so much if you are a woman or a man. It threw my chemical balance so far off that now I have to take meds and pluck facial hairs every day. Yes, alcohol can even affect facial hair growth. Had I known all of that, I don't think I would have ever taken the first drink. Think about what you are doing before you go too far.

Liver cancer, pancreatits, abnormal liver functions, abnormal kidney functions, jaundice, ..................... the list is endless.
Why do you think there is a limit on how much you should drink?
