constanly apply a medicated lip balm. And use a scarf to cover your mouth so wind does not get it. Also, do not lick them, as that can make it worse.

This happens because your lips are dehydrated. Sounds silly but drinking more water will help.....it will help your body over all...but it is how to keep lips from being chapped. Burt's Bees (www.burtsbees.com) is a great product for soothing lips already chapped and it does not need to be applied as often as other brands. Plus the ingredients are natural and things you have actually heard of! They also don't test on animals which is always a big plus.
So...stock up on water (remember those 8 glasses your mom always bugged you about? This is why..) and some chap stick...something like Burt's Bees which is all natural ingredients and doesn't test on animals. Good Luck!! Feel smoooooooth!

When I was younger I had chapped lips too. If you lick your lips a lot that will cause it and try getting a humidifier because the air is so dry now with the heat on. Use a non menthol lip balm to keep your lips moist. If they get bad than use something like blistek for cold sores, they have it in stick form for chapped lips. Keep your lips clean and dry.

Well first lubricate / hydrate your lips from the inside. Dont get weird here. Ha Ha,,,Drink more water. Then use natural products to coat lips- preventing the cold drying effects of winter on your skin. Good Luck, and Happy Belated New Year.

Don't put anything on your lips that has anything menthol in it. All those scents are very drying, even though they feel cool and smooth. Cake your lips before bed too.
The very best thing I've ever found in my life to use and I still use it is those green tins called bag-balm, it's for cow teets, yes there is even a picture of a cows teet on the tin. You used to only ba able to get them at farm feed stores, but now they sell it in the pet section of walmart. I swear to you it works because there is nothing in it to appeal to a human, it's just plain old great, wonderfull moisturizer.

Of course there are a number of good OTC products you could purchase at your local pharmacy, but I have found that good old-fashioned Vaseline works very well. If you apply a layer at bedtime, your lips will stay soft and smooth. It really works!!

If you are a girl, it is easy to get chapped lips in this cold weather. My advice is to wear underwear.
