ALBA RDVD1001XI DVD Recorder?

I have the above DVD Recorder. When I record to a DVD+R disc I can finalize it so that it will work on another DVD Player.
But when I record to a DVD+RW I do not know what to do. I have tried to do what the instructions say, but as I am a wee bit slow regarding technology I am getting nowhere.

Does anyone have this particular Recorder, and if so can you give me any advice as to what to do?

have you tried just playing the DVD in another player without finalizing it? DVD+ tapes work straight from the recorder on mine
