You wouldn't miss 90% of them anyway, unless you really enjoy seeing two crappy teams like Illinois and Minnesota get together, or to watch Ohio State blow out a garbage team like Indiana.

All more of Jim Delaney's way to make more money to fend off the momentum for a playoff.

The big ten in partnership with espn family of networks is creating it's own network which will pick up some of the football games next season. But the prominent games will still be aired on Abc, Espn or the deuce

This was news last June:

ESPN, ABC AND BIG TEN REACH WIDE-RANGING, 10-YEAR AGREEMENT
Football, Basketball And More For Multi-Media Entities

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ESPN, ABC and the Big Ten Conference have reached a 10-year agreement for extensive conference action beginning in 2007-08 and continuing through 2016-17, it was announced by George Bodenheimer, President, ESPN, Inc. and ABC Sports and James E. Delany, Big Ten Commissioner. The pact will deliver more than 110 Big Ten events each year -- including football, men's and women's basketball and more -- across numerous platforms. Live events will be available on TV outlets ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU and ESPN International, plus live games and/or highlights and other features will be offered on new media outlets ESPN360, Mobile ESPN, ESPN.com and ESPN Video on Demand. Big Ten action has been featured on ABC since 1966 and on ESPN since 1979, the network's first year.

"The words Big Ten represent passion, history and excellence and we are thrilled to continue our unmatched relationship with the conference for another decade," Bodenheimer said. "This agreement, among the most expansive ever, reinforces our position as the number one college sports destination and serves the ever-evolving appetites of fans by providing premier Big Ten action through traditional outlets like ABC and ESPN and emerging entities such as Mobile ESPN and ESPN360."

Delany added, "The letters ABC and ESPN connote excellence, worldwide reach and innovation. The Big Ten is extremely proud to partner for the next decade with George Bodenheimer and his ABC/ESPN team to bring our events, student-athletes and coaches to fans and alumni across the country and beyond."

Following are the key details of the new agreement:

Football
Exclusive national broadcast and cable coverage will result in up to 41 live games each year, including:

ABC: remains the exclusive national broadcast home for Big Ten football -- up to 17 games annually, including appearances as part of the new ABC Saturday Night College Football (weekly prime-time series)

ESPN & ESPN2: continue as the exclusive national cable home for Big Ten football with up to 25 games each season, including afternoon and prime-time action. As part of the agreement, ESPN or ESPN2 will televise out-of-market coverage of Big Ten games offered regionally in the afternoon on ABC and can do the same for primetime games. For example, when ABC offers a Big Ten game to a certain part of the country, ESPN or ESPN2 could offer that same game to all other regions
