This is what I did for my 11th birthday party. A scavenger Hunt at your local mall! It's GREAT! I had this party last month. Early December. It was a GREAT hit! Everybody loved it. What you do is, make a list like something I'll send to you later. I'll also send you the rules. And yes. I'm 11 years old and planned this party. No adult help. I'm gonna be an events planner when I get older so I'm kinda professional. Here's one of the lists I got off the internet but you have to have Acrobat reader...

Go to the link b4 u read the rest. But for me, I added names after price. I'll give you the rules I wrote in just a sec...
Mall $cavenger Hunt Rules
Here are the rules for the $cavenger Hunt. This will give you the COMPLETE INTRUCTIONS on how to play.

Item: This section of the list will tell you what to find. You have 20 minutes to find things on the list. You don’t have to find everything, but your team should try their best to find as many things you can!

Store: This section of the list is for you to write on. Whatever you find in the Item Section, write down the store you found it in. For Example: If on the item list it says a size `2 white sneaker, and you found it in Foot Locker. Then write Foot Locker in the Store Section.

Price: This section of the list is for you to write on also. Whatever you found in the Item Section, You write the price of it. The reason of writing the price is so that your team and the other team can settle a score. For Example: If Team A found 10 items and team B found 10 items also, then you can settle the score by adding all the prices up. If Team A’s Total Price is $70 and Team B’s Total Price is $74, then Team A wins. But if Team A finds 8 things but Team B finds 10 things, then you don’t need to settle the score with the Total Price and Team automatically wins.

Names: This is the BEST SECTION! In this section, you write your name in the Row that matches up with whatever you found. You’ll get some money for whatever you found. You can use your money to buy some cool prizes at the end. You’ll also get “Team Money”. If Team A wins, then everybody on Team A gets $5!(All of the money you get is play money of course!)

Note: Can not go in Dollar Store and Chaperones can not help!

That’s all you need to know for now. Happy Hunting!

Yes. A 10 year old wrote that. What I did was, ever girl(13 girls), got a clipboard. On the clip board, they got a copy of the rules, and of course, the the list. We did this 2 times. We split them up into 2 teams. To determine who's on what team, the girls had to pull from a bag. Inside the bag, it either said "Team A" or "Team B". I decorated it and stuff. Now, remember about the prizes I told about in the rules? We had what we called a minnie store. It had things like nail files, mini purses, nail clippers, nail polish, and girly stuff like that. OH! And for the cake, at our mall, there's a Dunkin' Donuts, We ordered about 2 or 3 dozen and stacked them up like a peramid. We even put a candle on top. It was pretty fun. We even got play money so the girls could "buy" the things I listed above. I'll add more if I think of other memories.

Well if she likes to shop and have fun with her friends have a scavenger hunt at the mall! What you do is put together some things that groups of four or so go out and find in the mall, like slogans of phones and the name of the hollister womens department. After that, they go off and eat lunch in the food court or at a restaurant in the food court and then with around 15 dollars, go shopping! Even when the money is low, it is fun to have your friends shop for little things with you. If you want you can have a sleepover afterwards too. I did this for my 12th and 13th birthday parties! Have fun!

To me..13 is a milestone. I'm having a "Coming of age" celebration for my daughter when she turns 13. It will be a fancier event then the regular party but not as fancy as a Bat Mitzvah.
