My groomer was giving out free 8 lb bags of dog food as a promotion. It's not the kind of dog food I feed my dog, so I took it by the humane society yesterday to donate to them and they wouldn't take it! They said they had too much dog food already....

Crazies. I bet they're begging people to donate stuff next week..

Maybe it was junk food(Iam, Science Diet, etc) and they didn't want to give it to the dogs in their care. Not every humane society is begging for just anything they can get their hands on. If I ran the place you can bet that the animals would get only the highest quality food. We have a stray wild cat that eats the same food that my indoor pampered cat eats.

I paintings in a puppy keep. I see it primary. human beings are available with a sparkling puppy. Ask questions that would desire to have been addressed earlier adopting. a number of those human beings have no clue what they are doing with this new puppy. I had a woman are available the different day and ask if this new kitten could prefer to work out a doctor. How does she bypass approximately finding a doctor if the kitten would desire to get unwell. She exchange into clueless to what a rabies shot exchange into for or why the cat could even choose photographs. Her reaction exchange into "that's stupid, that's an animal not a human!" seems to me this woman would desire to have been knowledgeable a sprint greater earlier she exchange into allowed to take a 12 week previous kitten abode from the rescue team. We theory approximately adopting a kitten from this same resuce team a pair months in the past. as quickly as we asked to introduce our canines to the cat earlier creating an rather final decision i exchange into informed NO. i exchange into informed that they could finally merely bond. In my oppinion that's not interior the appropriate interest of those cats or my canines. My first theory exchange into report a grievance. Its a rescue team and those forms of rules are set by the gang. there exchange into not something greater they'd do. appropriate or incorrect? I say incorrect. i think of the foremost to adopting out animals climate that's a resuce team or humane society is thorough history exams, lots of questions and abode visits besides as coaching any attitude adopter no remember how experienced they are announcing they are. Why not require a minimum of one hour training for an adoption? Why not do the better paintings to a minimum of attempt to grant the undemanding training that a puppy confirm could choose?

Maybe they put down alot of dogs and don't need the food because of that. I do not like those places, they are fast to put down an animal instead of trying just alittle harder to find a good home for them. Yeah, maybe next week they will have more dogs that might already belong to someone. I have a few horror stories about those places. :(

When I went to a humane society years back to drop off a stray, they ask me for money so they could buy food and such stuff. I guess cash is better than free food. I hope you get ungrumpy, do you want me to make a funny face?

Well, our humane society wants you to PAY THEM if you take in a stray dog! That's pretty bad. We took in a stray one day to keep it from getting run over and they wanted us to give them 20 bucks to take him! I told the man to take the dog or we'd put it back on the street, because our taxes pay the shelter in our city. Gee, what a rip off!
