I've had the tracking checked, that is ok. Tyre pressures are all correct. It has power steering and isn't losing any fluid. It pulls left all the time whether I'm accelerating or braking. If I pull the steering wheel right it self-centres but if I pull it left it stays left. I've driven along flat surfaces to eliminate road camber and it still does it. If I drive on the wrong side of the road (I mean the right hand side!) it stays straight and doesn't follow the camber to right. Any ideas as to what could be wrong?

Thanks for the answers so far. I've had the alignment checked, they say it's ok. I've rotated the tyres and all the rubbers and gaiters I can see are ok.

seems like youve done most things... but.. are the brakes slightly siezing on one side... (or not releasing all the way off) that'll do it.

so will a dodgy suspension strut... (look ofr leaking oil)

i know its a long shot, but have you asked toyota?

Firstly check all your tyres for abnormal wear or any other visible defect if nothing obvious sometimes there maybe a hidden issue in a tyre so try swapping them front to back and left to right. Sometimes this helps to eliminate a steering pull and also it is important to ensure tyre pressures are correct and there are no faults in the suspension as well as steering.

Your last alignment check was probably not done properly.
If you are aligned right and all of your other statements are true, then you have a bent frame. Was this a used car when you bought it ?
Take it back to the dealer and ask them politely to provide you with an answer or solution. They don't want to get busted selling you a vehicle with a bent frame. Make sure they understand that.

just remember if your car pulls to the left then the problem lies on the right side as the car is trying to correct itself either something is damaged or broken failing that make sure your tyres are of the same size and make on the same axle or front and back if you like one last thing if you tracking was out you will notice uneven edging on your tyre grooves iif your tyres are not new.

We have a Corolla too and have found out that Corolla's have a bad history of poor alignment. At least the older models...just have to keep the tires rotated and have it put on rack to adjust. Good luck with it.

Have you recently rotated the tire, or had a wheel alignment? Sounds like radial tire pull, try switching front tires from side to side and see if it pulls the opposite direction or stops pulling.

Could be a worn bush in the steering rack - get this checked out at a garage. It's an MOT failure point so get it checked as soon as possible.

Your car is in need of a wheel alignment. If you have hit a curb or pothole lately, your alignment will be off.

It needs a wheel allignment. It's not expensive. When I had mind done last it was around $60. Get done soon or else it can cause uneven wear on your tires and then you will need new tires also!!

check yourself or ask your garage to inspect if one of your ball joints is sticking or faulty. usually a good indicator of a faulty ball joint is a split or breached rubber cover on the ball joint itself or possibly worn spring arm rubbers or anti roll bar rubbers also it could be a faulty steering rack or track rod ends which will also have a breached rubber cover if faulty. one of the above should be the culprit.
