Hell Yeah, The Mavs are definately gonna take it all this year.
They'll win 70+ games, The NBA championship, and Dirk will be MVP. garaunteed!!!
How can anybody say that Dirk is the only thing they have, Howard, Terry, and Harris, are Studs too. It's just hard to shine when you play next to a guy like Dirk. Everyone knows their roll on this team, thats why they are so freakin great.

I'm a big Spurs fan too, but the only reason they don't like the Mavs is because theirs a better team in Texas now. Get over it, we're from the same state. If Houston made the finals I would cheer for them too. I wish there could be 2 Texas teams in the Finals, Too bad we have to eliminate the other 2 before then.

I like the Suns and Wiz but Dallas deserves more respect then they get. Dirk Notwitzki should be an MVP candidate this year. My midseason top 3 is:

1.) Gilbert Arenas
2.) Steve Nash
3.) Dirk Nowitski

No. the infantrymen are basically a much better crew. better meltdown? How about the 2004 Yankees? The 1990 A's? very last 12 months's Mavs? The Buffalo costs? The Broncos at the same time as the performed the Redskins or Niners?

I like the coach and the team--not too many frills, just playing basketball. However, Mark Cuban is enough to get under the skin of anybody else in America whose IQ is higher than that of a grass blade.

So, I choose not to support the Mavs. Go Spurs!

They are quietly playing great. They aren't flashy like the suns or wizzards, or gritty like the pistons, so they don't get a ton of attention. Avery is a great coach and has them playing defense and playing incredible basketball. Dirk for sure deserves a look for MVP, but the guy who is making the biggest impact for them this year is josh howard. I think it is his play that has them winning so many games. Dirk is dirk and he's been doing what he's doing for a while now...terry is a solid pg who was made so much better under avery johnson, devin harris is a great younger player...but it's howard's play that has them winning more games than last year...his improvement this year has been great and really has impacted his team.

I like this Mavericks team this year because its a team effort this year not one player doing by him self everyone is stepping up there game this year and each player knows that key injuries are going to happened and they have the bench to back a player if a key injury does happened and we can't forget about the way Avery Johnson is coaching this team he's a very special kind of coach by the way he teaches his fundamentals to every player on this team this team is turning heads in the League by the way they are playing defence and offence i think they will have 2 all-stars this year because Josh Howard should be on this all-star team this year and Dirk Nowitzki should get M.V.P hand down!

I hate the Mavs. I do live in Phoenix so I have a bias, but Dirk may be the biggest cry baby in the league. Just watch one Mavs game, every single time Dirk shoots and misses he goes crying to the ref that he was fouled. MVP??? Are you kidding me, the NBA will never vote a cry baby in for MVP.

Howard and Terry are great players, and I respect them, but this is the Suns year.

Quality team, probably the best all-around team in the league. As a Spurs fan i have to say that i hate them, but so does the rest of the world. But my reasons are different, they are rivals so I naturally hate them. The average person hates Mark Cuban, and doesn't like Avery Johnson being a trader and coaching his old teams rival.

the Mavs are good and have always been underrated. My favorite team is the Suns though. Nowitski is a very good player. He's uglier than a dogs' bum.
