i have no firewire connection on my laptop, or card slot. my video camera only connects to computers with a firewire cable. i,v being told i need a firewire to usb dongle(?) can i get 1 from anywhere ?

Actually yes you can. Belkin make a usb to firewire cable. In the Uk try pcworld. I am not sure what shops stock them in other countries.

They are definately available though.

firewire is the best bet, n can buy from dixon/curry/pcworld or internet
