Why is there no public bathroom in the main US post office bldg in Chicago?

It's a public building. The public paid for it. Why can't we go to bathroom there.

Because they don't want people leaving anything crazy like bombs, explosives or "powdery substances" in there. Remember we live in a post 9-11 era...security is tight everywhere, especially downtown
