I want to buy my sister a really nice graduation present, and was wondering if you could give me some advice on what to buy. I was thinking jewelry- a necklace or earrings or a bracelet, but I'm not sure where to get it from. I have a budget of around $100-$125, but am willing to spend up to $175
Tiffany's would be the obvious choice, but the jewelry there seems a little plain (or at least in my budget)
David Yurman would be okay, but all I can afford is child jewlery, and most of that is ugly
Juicy is affordable, but to me it seems more like preteen jewelry, and a bit vulgar to give as a graduation present
Anthropologie has gorgeous jewelry (some of it in my price range), but that seems a bit random
We also have a bit of conflicting tastes so I'm worried that what I'll get her she won't like, and then will only wear to appease me. But on the other hand I sort of want her present to be a suprise.
What should I do- should I get jewelry, where to get it from, etc...
thanks

I would make up a nice gift basket yourself and just use nice ribbons , bows and jewelry. Like put in a jewelry box and maybe a bunch of gift cards

Why not Walmart. They make the same quality jewelry but at a cheaper price. You could buy her a whole set of earrings, pendants, and ring for less than $100. You could get it in her birthstone.

If not I would get her a ring. The proper ediquette of jewelry buying for graduation is a nice ring.

Consider an independent jeweler. If I knew your sisters tastes she may like a New Citizen Ecodrive wrist watch. With a clean face with old fashioned Roman Numerals. She may be the elegant type who would like a more uncluttered face with fine hands and the masic numbers: 12 -3 - 6 and 9 with straight gold or silver marks between the numbers. Have a good time with your shopping!
