If by that you mean to what extent are we giving up personal freedoms in order to make our citizens safer, I'd say we've sacrificed quite a bit so far and are most likely going to be asked to give up more in the future. Between surveillance cameras on every corner and satellite pictures being taken of our every move in public (or even in our homes), there'll be precious little privacy left. What makes it worse is that with new technology comes new ways to track every move we make. It's really a sobering thought.
