I started my period in the 4th grade,I am in 6th now,is that normal to start that young?

yes it is normal to start that young remember every woman/girls body is different. some children can start puberty earlier Than others and some start later like 14-16. I started my first period over the summer in 2004 when i was 11. And I'm in 8th grade.

Well, girls are beginning to start earlier and earlier. I started at 14, but hey everybody is different. You just don't have any sex and tell mom and dad to talk to you about the birds and the bees. Ok? Because now that you have begun your cycle, you can get pregnant. And you don't wanna be pregnant and still in elelmentary do you? Please no sex till marriage...ok, sweetie.

It is normal to have a period at an early age. It can be that there are strong menstral genes in your family and you happen to get "lucky". Sorry sweety. I feel your pain.

I have several friends that started that early. We are curious if starting early means an earlier menopause?lol

it's definitely at the younger end of the spectrum, but you're too young to be on yahoo answers anyways (you need to be 13)

I never heard of anyone starting that early. But who knows now a days!

some girls develop younger then others. but your mom should have had you checked by the doctor just to make sure you wasent developing to quickley.
