To determine the chemical composition of something. Everything is made of chemicals/compounds/elements chemical analysis determines how much of what something is made of.

The basic purpose, of course, is to analyze chemicals. WHY would someone BOTHER analyzing chemicals? Let's say you had a huge meal and at the end of the meal you had an orgasm, without having sex. And let's say that the pattern repeated itself every time you had a huge meal. You would want to know (if you were normal) what combination of chemicals in your food and digestive system were triggering that response. That way, you could sell an instant orgasm pill and become a multi-trillionaire by the end of next week.

you can determinate any substance in anything using chemical analysis...you can determinate any metal, or salth,, or organic compounds in water, air, soil...........
