it is my sony laptop DVD player. It was working before, but now it is working only for normal CD files.

Too broad of a question, my friend. Is this a portable DVD player, DVD rom on you pc, what???
Check the power cable. Try another DVD.
So many problems. So many solutions.

yep check all dvds you have if the one you are trying play is a copy of a film its likely its not compatible.
if still not working check scart leads are connected ok.
clean the lens with a disc cleaner .
if still not working buy a new one they are so cheap nowadays £20 will get you new one.

Modern electronics are designed to break soon after you buy them. The electronics industry is one of the biggest scams driving the mass consumption frenzy. Just buy a new one, and enjoy. Then buy some more.
