It hurts because the first time you have sex his penis tears a thin sensitive ring of skin in the birth canal called the hymen.
It hurts for a while after, and it takes a few times after the hurt stops before it starts to feel good. It takes time to actually enjoy sex when you're a girl. Its unpleasant for a while.
For me, I didnt have sex until after I got married, and it wasnt enjoyable for the first month or two. And God knows how much newlyweds have sex.
Ouch.

w ell it because u r untouched hun...there is something called the Hymen and it is a thin layer of skin inside the vagina and when u have sex for the 1st time it tears...that means u have lost your virginity...don't worry u will be fine u probably had some bleeding and that is perfectly normal too...but it should get easier from here on in(no punn intended) it might fell a little bit tight for a while which might bother u a bit but after a few times your body will get used to it and it will be satisfying...Good Luck...and if u have anymore questions feel free to IM or email me hun.
and just so u know as for sarita's comment...urine does not come out through your vagina...i believe it is called urethra and it is just above the vaginal opening

it hurts because a thin membrane inside your vagina called the hymen is being stretched. sometimes you bleed a little. the more anxious you are about the pain the more it will hurt. you gotta be relaxed that's all. it may even take more than one attempt for your partner to penetrate you depending on how relaxed and lubricated you are. it's good to wait until you're in a comitted relationship thay way you will feel relaxed with your partner and your partner will easily turn you on when you're in love with him. it's actually more of a discomfort than a pain and the discomfort can happen after the first time if you're not aroused enough. hope this helps.

Hey, a lot of folks on here do not know biology.
Yes, the hymen tears when you first have sex, but:
Having sex does NOT stretch out your uterus! Your uterus is an internal organ for gosh sakes.
Also, urine does NOT come out of the vaginal passage!! It is a separate 'hole' called the urinary tract.
It won't always hurt, but it gets better the older you get. Make sure to use protection. Don't risk your life.

For me it hurt the very first time. and only for about a min. after that it never hurt again. But every person is different, but my friend said that the first time you want to do it missionary, because you a less chance of bleeding(some people bleed their first time). But you wont know til you actually have sex.

Because your still tight in your vagina and it's hard for a guy to get inside you so he has to push hard which makes it painful. It will hurt the first few times but once you do a lot it doesn't hurt once the guy is all the way inside.

It really depends on the individual, and if the girl's ever used a tampon before. It hurts because you are stretching, or in some cases breaking your hymen (a thin muscle in your vagina). It's not actually that bad, and after it's sufficiently stretched, it doesn't hurt at all.

the first time you have sex will be uncomfortable because it's the first time your hymen(the thin layer of skin covering the vagina) will usually be broken.
the most important thing is to relax, otherwise you will become tense and this can cause sex to be uncomfortable creating a vicious circle. make sure you take your time and enjoy the experience. good luck
