out school is having western dance
what kind of clothes should i wear?

if you are a girl: a jean skirt, cowboy boots, button down plaid shirt and a cowbot hat with hair in pig tails. If you are a boy: jeans that are light and kind of tight with a button down plais long sleeve shirt cowyboy boots and hat

It depends on where you live. I know here in California they consider western dress to be totally different from the way we dressed in Texas. They dress "western" here and it looks so goofy!!! You should see what they wear here it is sad really but funny.
Wrangler jeans, or better yet Rocky Mountains if you can pull them off, and a nice western shirt, with decent boots nothing too flashy.
Also a Hat on a chick is really HOT, even a felt hat can look good, but a STRAW Hat is smoking hot. You got to get the real deal though, no BS.
I am sure if you follow this advice, you will be the hottest one there.

If you are a girl, please do not wear a skirt with boots. Only people who never wear western do this. For some reason they think it looks cool. To those of us that wear western daily it looks stupid. Unless you can afford to buy a real western dress wear pants. Peferably Wranglers, starched and ironed. You can go with any kind of western shirt,if you choose a dress shirt over a T type of shirt make sure it is also ironed. Both must be tucked in and a belt worn. If you wear a hat, please wear it correctly. Not on the back of your head, but straight like a man.Boots should also be clean and polished. For guys jeans or western cut dress pants. Jeans starched and ironed. Ironed shirt, belt, nice buckle, clean boots. Since it is winter a felt hat is required. Straw is only worn in the summer. Jeans and a snap down shirt. Appropriate for guys and girls both. Don't forget the boots.
