Iran and Syria are part of the problem, particularly Iran. So there is no way to create a victory when you include a party who has more to gain by our defeat. Funny, I only hear a very few Democrats speaking of victory, interesting that you aimed this the other way.

What do you mean by "if it had to include Iran and Syria to work"? I don't think anyone is AGAINST victory in Iraq, the disagreement comes about how to go about that. I'm conservative and support victory!

I'm a moderate, but I can be conservative and yes.. I fully would support a victory in Iraq. If the job is done then Iraqi civilians can finally claim control of their country and live under a peace they have never experienced and freedom from fear of persecution. Our troops can come home... that would be awesome.

I have no idea what would constitute a victory in Iraq.
I thought this was supposed to be over when we got to inspect the palaces and found no WMDs. But then, we decided it would be a good idea to kill the last guy to have meaningful control in Iraq, Saddam Hussein.
So, no weapons, had the election, installed the government, killed Saddam - what's the point?
Maybe we should just pave the desert, fill it with Wal-Marts and Home Depots and call it a day.

Abso-freakin-lutely. Iran has to cease their quest for nukes and stop supporting terrorist activities in Iraq, and Syria needs to butt out also. I would also demand that Iran allow the dissident factions in their country to have a voice in things. As it is now Ahmadinijhad is turning very quickly into Nostradamus' Anti-Christ.

I wouls support victory if it meant we had to take over the entire middle east. Victory for us wouldn't be all that hard if we would stop wuss-footing around over there. Shock and awe all the way until we are finished.
