Ummm, it's white people who are racists for using the "N" word. A lot of African Americans are trying to make it unacceptable for use within their own race, too.

It is a nasty, horrible word which should be banned from everyone's vocabulary.

i think you have the races backwards. from my experiences, african americans can use it because they dont mean it as a derogitory word. when white people say it, it is considered as a slur, mainly for the fact that we are not black and cannot relate to them inthat sense. would you be upset if someone of a different race called you a cracker, spi.c or whatever it is that you are?
