i always get the impression that more people want to have boys than girls. All my friends go on about wanting to have a son. Do you think it is true that more people want boys? If so why? And what would you rather have boy or a girl. Personally i would not mind as long as the child was healthy but since i've been little i've always dreamed of having a little girl. Is there something about todays society that implies that boys are superior to girls? Like in china where girls are smouthered sometimes.

The trend in the world has almost always been a preference for boys over girls, now so more then ever with about ninety percent of the world living in poverty. The reason is that we live in a male dominated world, just this fact alone says that their family has a better chance for success if they have a boy. It makes me sick in my hart because females have so much to offer and they are sold short just because of their gender.

We had our first son many years ago and when my wife got pregnant again I prayed for a little girl-I don't know why.God answered my prayers and gave us one-a lovely blond bundle of smiles.Today they are grown up- Anna is 18 and will hopefully be going to University later this year. In todays society boys are equal to girls and actually I think that girls are the higher achievers-all the ones I have met are pretty smart. So hold your head high because you are equal to any boy.

I always wanted to have three girls.I had a girl and a boy,and I am very happy with both a girl and a boy.I wouldn't change it for the world.I think that's terrible about China,babies are innocent.

i want a girl, my husband wants boys. But that has a lot to do with our family structures. I've known some men that want to have daughters, because they think that daughters will love their daddy more than sons (which is also why people think i should want sons, and ask me why i don't)

its a universal question that there is no answer to/some countries like all children born to be boys where others ride middle of the road and are grateful for baby to be born all in order

Women want Girls to dress up, and go shopping with etc.....
Blokes want Boys to play football with etc...... Boys are more fun - you can have more of a laugh with them when they're younger I think.

i wanted a boy first to carry on my family name and i got a son, we are trying again hopefull we will have a girl this time.
