I lie whenever Mum tells me to do something and I forget to do it. I know deep down she'd rather I told her the truth, but I still lie anyway.

She's the only person I do this to.....

I have Asperger's Syndrome and mum's bipolar.

I made a New Year's resolution to stop lying last year or the year before and broke it in two weeks. It always seems to me that however often I tell myself to stop lying like that, I do it eventually.

Get some self help books or join a free support group. It may not cost a fortune but it will cost your time and effort. It's not something you can just take a pill for or get an instant fix, you have to vow not to lie and work on it everyday. Read about this condition and get some support to keep you on the right track.

You are not a compulsive liar. Your just a liar. People lie. If you don't want to be a liar stop lieing. Dont worry about stuf like that. I was diagnosed as bipolar and you start worrying that there are all sorts of other things wrong with you. Just chill.

go to the self-help aisle of your local bookstore and get a book on Asperger's Syndrome. I'd say understanding how this affects the way you think and act is the first step.

Also, forgetting to do something isn't lying, it's procrastination and it means you have trouble focusing.
