It's not that simple. It really depends on the guy. You have two options: either you stay as you are, or you change yourself to become the girl of his dreams. Personally I think that you're better off not changing yourself, because if he doesn't like you for who you are, then he's not worth it. I've changed myself for a guy and yeah, he ended up liking me eventually, but I ended up being unhappy with who I became.
As for getting to know you better... it depends. Usually smiling, flirting, and showing him that you're trustworthy and dependable is a good start, because then he'll start confinding in you. Trust is the foundation of any good relationship. You'll get to know him better this way, and he'll get to know you better this way as well.
And another thing: don't be desperate. Let him make all the moves, like asking for your phone number, calling you, asking you out on dates, etc. This way you'll know for sure he's interested in you too and that it's not a one-way-street type deal.

You can't make someone else want to have a relationship with you. All you can do is be yourself and hope that who you are will attract this person. If not then the relationship was not meant to be. This other person has the right to decide for themsleves who they have relationships with and who they don't and just because you like him doesn't mean he HAS to feel the same about you.

Well... you can't MAKE a guy like you. He either likes you or he doesn't like you. You don't want to be the only person in the relationship who WANTS to make it work out. Find out if he likes you, and carry it on from there! I know you probably don't want to hear this but... "If its meant to be, it'll happen"!!!!!
