The Book of Mormon and the Doctrine & Covenants

I know this may sound weird, but the book that changed my life was Twilight by Stephenie Meyer. I don't know why this book changed me, but it did. I was always strange and didn't have many friends I read a lot, but don't worry i wasn't a geek (I know because geeks have very high grades and i well...don't). I read Twilight and suddenly things were well happy I finally felt the sunshine and I had friends. I continued on to read New Moon the sequel, but that one made me sad until i got to the last few chapters than i was happy again. When i finished I went into a spiraling depression how something so wonderful could be taken away like that. Though i knew there would be more I felt sad, that is until i found others i realized the book had helped me find friends. Plus as i was reading them i felt a bit crazy because i didn't think of all things a book about love between a human and a vampire would affect my life. There is more to the story, but you asked what book had an impact so there you go.

"To Kill A Mockingbird" --Harper Lee
"The Prince of Tides" --Pat Conroy
"Boy's Life" --Robert McCammon

Every book I read changes my life. Every story alters some aspect of my personality, small or large. But those three books have been the biggest influences on me thus far. They're brilliant tales of how humans are ever-evolving. That even the most evil or kind-hearted of individuals is multi-dimensional.

LJ Smith novels: The Night World Series, & The Vampire Diaries, Forbidden Game, and Dark Visions trilogies. My favourite books for many years (though they are young adult books, but mature enough for years after). Just because the characters suck you in, and it is so realistic despite being supernatural fiction (I believed in the existence of the Night World when I was younger), and it inspired me to write a novel... of supernatural fiction as well.

"Blink: The Power of Thinking Without Thinking" is a book by Malcolm Gladwell where he explores the power of the trained mind to make split second decisions, the ability to think without thinking, or in other words using instinct.

Its an amazing book and it taught me so much about how people think and how sometimes the brain works out everything right down to the smallest, minutest part of what could happen.
