Feel like you should say something , but dont because you feel bad and dont want hurt their feelings , but at the same time you would've wished you had said something if they died.
Why should we let another person die of obesity? WHat's the point? Thats another life out of their loved ones mind. How can we let the world go? If he gets down to skinny again, he might try to make a difference.

Well I have the perfect example of how I feel about this and that would be
leave them alone, it is a personal choice just like smoking..although I am taking this opportunity to say most would come up to me and say "Don't smoke its bad for you and you shouldn't do it"
well it is my personal choice..just like it is the choice of the fatty who is hogging down the donut...I mean it would be very rude to say "hey what are you doing? You want to give yourself a heart attack?"
but...
its OK to criticize smokers, and really fat people? NO!!! I can brush off criticism very easily, but you might hurt the fat guys feeling and he may cry at the end of the night. what is wrong with society..judge yourself before you judge others...

This sounds like my co-worker, he does this everyday, with the Mountain Dew and the cakes and cookies, candy, it is sickening. Now he has a heart problem, does it make sense? No, but I have talked to him and told him he should watch what he eats. He is in his 50's still eating like that. I guess he just does not care. He is overweight and just seems to think God is going to take care of him, when he is not taking care of himself. What a shame. :(

My answer would be closer to B, but in a different context. No one knows why someone else is overweight. It could be a thyroid condition that has nothing to do with eating. It could be medication that they are taking that causes them to be overweight. So it would be none of my business.

B. let them live their life. there is so much education about being overweight now... it's like smoking. smokers know how bad smoking is for them, so they don't need people like me saying "smoking is bad!" that's just obnoxious.
besides, i don't know what all is going on in their life like stress, low self-esteem, depression etc. a person's health is basically their own business. if they want to join a weight loss group or something, they will do it on their own.

A., of course! I really would like to bring it up to that person that donuts and Mountain Dew really isn't very good for you and granola bars and milk is better. I wouldn't know how exactly to put it, to that person!

even though i might care, i am not a food police officer and have no intentions of intervening. chances are very good that the fatty know the problems associated w/ being overweight and my two cents won't make a rats a** of a difference

B. Let eveybody live their own life. If you jumped up and said or did something every time you saw someone do something self-destructive (i.e. smoking, driving too fast, drinking too much...), you wouldn't have a life of your own.

They are old enought to know better and make a concious decision everyday to fill themselves with junk. Slip a healthy food menu into their lunchbox when they aren't looking after that it's their problem. You can't change somebody if they don't want to be changed.
