The situation is, I'm new to my job and I have a co-worker named "Barney" who when I first started working there saw me drawing the word sex with colorful magic markers at my desk and told me he could help me with that. I said yes but I told him I was very skeptical since we work together. He promised not tell anyone. I even wrote him a letter that was very sexual and told him not to tell anyone including his best friend one of the female supervisors. We did our thing once and it was terrible and thats when I realized I had made a mistake this was a month ago. Yesterday he got into a dispute with my other coworker that I'm friends with because he was using the computer at her desk and she needed it. He told her even if you was bleeding on herself he wouldn't cover her post anymore and since I was laughing too, he would snitch on everyone he sees on the internet. Then he asked me whats up with the hotel again and tried to record the convo on a cellphone to play for my coworkers.

I don't know why he would try to record my conversation but lucky for me I knew it and act like I didn't know what he was talking about. He records people's conversation often at work so I knew better but I think that is wrong and havent confronted him about it yet. I'm also scared that he might still have the letter I wrote and might show it to people including the supervisor and the letter was very very sexual telling his what I would do to him sexually if he promises to keep it between us and act professional still at work. What should I do because he is now trying to set me up to get me in trouble especially since I won't give him sex anymore. After we had sex that 1 time, he tried to date my other coworkers that I'm also cool with right in front of me but I didn't even respond and acted normal and didn't tell a sole but I suspect he told her we had sex yesterday because she was giving me the cold shoulder all night. I hated her before this anyone but what should I do about him?

I was thinking about getting a better position in the same company anyway before this happened but how do I deal with this jerk in the mean time. He the supervisors pet and can get away with murder but I don't like being threatened and black mailed.

I was just so horney since I haven't gotten any sex in like 8 or 9 months and he looks good. I hate his guts now but he has seniority over me and can get me in trouble with work because we sneak on the internet sometimes even though we are not supposed to. I thought about HR but Im not a tatle tale and i since I did have sex with him in the past, its not sexual harrassment or anything. He threatned to black mail with the letter in a joking way in the past because he wanted some information on some office gossip and I wouldn't tell him. I gave in so I didn't go anywhere but just by him saying that makes me think he is capable of doing terrible things like that.

Sex IS a big deal. Too many times sex is used to gain power over another person, as you just found out. Unfortunately, to escape the situation you may have to find another job.

Next time, keep your pants on.

The letter is a problem only if it could be identified as being from you. There's not much you can do about that except it would be a lot worse if you said it wasn't yours and then he could prove it was. I don't see that you have done anything wrong except make a regrettable choice in a sex partner. If he is harassing you at work, you should see someone in human resources about it. He doesn't have any right to make you uncomfortable at work.

Beat him at his own game. As difficult as this might be, go to your Supervisor, and without getting in to details, explain what is happening. This person is on some power trip, and you can't let it go on. It will only get worse as time goes by. Take his power away by explaining the situation to a supervisor, before he gets a chance to blackmail you. They may have grounds to fire him!

he is playing mind games with you, hoping you'll give in to him, if he tells the whole world you had sex with him, they can't fire you for that, I wouldn't worry about him, he must be insecure or he would move on
