Where can I find laptops with a Pentium D processor? I looked on dell.com and couldn't find any and was looking to actually buying a dell computer. Also, would it be better to buy a Intel Core 2 Duo processor or a Pentium D? Why? Thank you.

The Pentium D is primarily a desktop chip, and uses a lot more power than Laptop processors. I think Alienware used to sell a few laptops with Pentium Ds, but they used so much power they didn't even bother giving you a battery, you had to plug it into the wall to use. The Core 2 Duo would be a much better choice because it comes in a laptop version that is power efficient, and still gives you good performance, better than that of a Pentium D.

You should get Intel Core 2 Extreme Quad-Core If You want a really powerful laptop. Intel Core 2 Duo If you want a great laptop and Pentium D if you want below normal.

the above two people are correct...

btw I dont think its possible to fit a Pentium D into laptops, that's why they came up with Core Duo, Core 2 Duo...in the end, it turns out that the latter does better even on desktops!

The C2D processor is just as fast, runs a lot cooler, and will give you better battery life.

properly.. you're able to ought to first purchase the genuinely cpu, then paying somebody to tug aside your computing device and replace it, then reassembly then run some assessments and updates to verify the cpu is finished y reconized... seems to me its going to cost alot greater then its worth. sell the celery computing device and get what ever u can out of it (regionally, ebay, craigslist) and purchase a core2duo computing device (approximately six hundred bux at present)
