It is very easy for me to forgive someone who apologizes sincerely, and then the situation is never mentioned again. Where I need work is on forgiving someone who hurt me and couldn't care less.

Neither actually. I will forgive a person once or twice. And then it's payback time. It's import to forgive. People deserve a second chance. I don't think anybody really forgets, only time might dull your memory. Your subconscious remembers everything. I will never forget what a person did to me. Fool me once and all that. I don't brood over there transgression. But, the fact they did something to me, may be important to one of my friends later in life. I wouldn't one of my friends to make the same mistake I did. And if I can prevent it I would, any way possible.

Sometimes you can't forgive without forgetting first....and sometimes you can't forget without forgiving first.. But for me it really depends how bad it is. I have a pretty good memory of events so most of the time it's impossible for me to forget. usually I (b.) forgive and pretend to forget.

I would say it all depends, but the most common would be B, Forgive and pretend to forget, Lets face it, it is very hard to totally forget something that may have made you mad, or hurt you.

It depends on what you are forgiving. Some things are very hard to forget.
